The Hidden Agenda Undermining the IVGID Model

 

This editorial explores the hidden agenda of the new majority on the IVGID Board to undermine the IVGID Model, by: increasing user fees, eliminating subsidies for the operation of IVGID facilities and amenities, delaying planned improvements, mandating that the facilities operate as profitable businesses, and gutting IVGID management and staff to eliminate resistance to this agenda.

The proposal to sell IVGID assets and facilities to commercial enterprises, or outsource the management of these assets, is a bad idea for our IV/CB community, and undermines the primary reason for living in a General Improvement District.
