About the Invest in Incline Advocacy Network

This network serves as a source of accurate information about programs and projects that will enhance the lives of our residents and sustains property values; presents a positive narrative in support of the Incline Village General Improvement District’s best efforts to improve our community; advocates for appropriate strategies to increase local workforce housing; and supports sustainable tourism which mitigates the adverse impacts of the tourist industry on our neighborhoods and our environment.

The Invest in Incline Advocacy Network can have a positive impact on the Incline Village / Crystal Bay community by

  1. Providing brief summaries, and links to detailed information, to residents, property owners, employers and employees, visitors and others on key issues that affect our community.
  2. Allowing community members to have a collective voice reflecting our shared interests in the decisions, policies, programs, and proposed developments and amenities that will impact our lives, neighborhoods, and the Northern Lake Tahoe environment for years to come.
  3. Facilitating informed participation by individual participants in the Advocacy Network in committees, public hearings and meetings, program and project campaigns, and other events related to these key issues affecting our community.
  4. Encouraging Advocacy Network participants to send emails and letters reflecting the goals and principles of Invest in Incline to elected representatives and various public officials and agencies in support of, or in opposition to, programs, plans or developments of importance to our members.
  5. Identifying candidates for local public office that reflect the goals and principles of the Invest in Incline Advocacy Network.
  6. Providing links to selected sites and organizations to facilitate donations in support of various pro grams and projects designed to improve the Incline Village / Crystal Bay community.

No, the Network is a subscription based organization.  When you subscribe to the Newsletter, you will receive email-based Newsletters with links to various posts, articles, informational items, opinion pieces and references provided on this website.  You will also receive invitations to participate personally in various advocacy initiatives.  Depending on your preferences or interests, you may receive assistance or information to help you to play a more personal role in advocating for these initiatives.  You may be asked to consider attending meetings, hearings, and community forums related to Invest in Incline advocacy initiatives; conduct research and create content for the Newsletter or the Website; and volunteer for initiative campaigns.

Anyone can subscribe to the Newsletter.  Being a subscriber does not require you to participate in any of the initiatives or activities or the Network.  You may unsubscribe from the Newsletter at any time.

You may be asked to respond to an occasional survey or canvass by email to determine if you support or oppose a particular project, program, development, policy, or plan (etc); though you are NOT required to respond to this query. Participants of this Network are also asked to refrain from making personal attacks on the character or integrity of members of this community in public hearings or on social media.

No.  You can, if you wish, make a directed donation to Invest in Incline via this website to support the development or maintenance of the Invest in Incline website, or other projects or activities, but this donation can not be considered a tax-deductible donation.
